Learning

I am going out this week for several times after work, talking with others about my little plan. To initiate, I got to strenghten myself and enlarge the influence of my team. During these talks, one thing I could make sure is that people have their special ideas individually. No matter how ridiculous or naive it ever sound, simply finishing your listening. Absolutely you could get something useful out of it.

This week I try to read a lot of materials via internet which could make you SO WELL-INFORMED. I pinched my way these years just to figure out how far I could go. Just like me, many guys was not born in a wealthy family. It somewhat means you may have a worse environment than others. Can it be the biggest barrier in your lifetime? No, it can’t. Let’s just fighting out! Making the most of the resource around you.

English, Communication and Culture

Monday, April 16th, 2007

Hardly have I wrote any English words in more than one year. You know, I am just afraid that one day I could really get it out of my mind. Come on, that’s really terrible for me. So Here I decide to write English entries for about once a week. What’s more, I am trying to read at least one native English entry in other’s blog, NOT English NEWS, but common writings of common people.

I do this only for communication purpose. The other day, a old teacher who’s teaching social culture told me that language is only a kind of tool, culture works more. It’s not easy for a Chinese with fluent English to live in U.S., I mean, obviously he needs time to get used to this new culture. I’ve remembered there is a professional item called “culture shock” to describe this.

It’s not my purpose to make any nonsense to discuss on this topic here, as I mentioned, I just pick it to communicate with some foreign friends as well as to look for some opportunities. I may not concentrate my mind on one or two particular aspects but lie it relatively widely. English, culture, Chinese, Blog, IT, Lifestyle…Okay, hopefully any of you could take some useful info from here and provide me some fresh ideas and info.

如此烂新闻

早上的时候看到新华的一条新闻:Three More Bodies Found at Beijing Subway Collapse Site

Rescuers found three more bodies from a collapsed subway tunnel in Beijing on Saturday, but they have been unable to pull them out due to the complicated situation underground.

The three bodies were all heavily pressed upon by collapsed concrete and meanwhile, the space beneath the ground which rescuers can move about is very narrow. Therefore, it is difficult to pull the bodies out…

令我极其郁闷的是,这新闻叫什么破新闻!?居然还来个Three More,我就搞不明白了,3就是3,4就是4,5就是5,是不会数数还是怎么着?有三具多尸体,真TM一点不严谨,根据下文说的”The three bodies were all heavily pressed upon by collapsed concrete and meanwhile…”,应该就是3了,可前面偏偏用more,你说这让人如何忍的了?好歹也是一新华社,就这么糊弄读者?难怪要加强基础教育了,这数学都不会了,讽刺!
