As Heaven’s movement is ever vigorous, so must a gentleman ceaselessly strive along.

在实际的运用中，你会发现很多同样的说法并不是这样翻译的。这和当时的语言环境有着很大的关系，在特定的语言环境下，表达方法是不一样的。比如中文有一句话是这样的：

顺天者存，逆天者亡。
Those who follow the Heaven’s law will survive; those who go against it will perish.
上面的译法是一种参考的翻译，并不意味着在任何情况下，我们都需要这么麻烦。这里有个相似的例子，在《加菲猫2》中，律师来读遗嘱之前，那个自以为会成为继承人的家伙跟管家说，“再过不久我就是这里的主人了，那时候顺我者昌，逆我者亡。”按照上面提到的说法的话，翻译出来会挺长的，我听了一下，原版的英语是这样的：…and from this day on, things will be done in my way…。所以说语言环境还是相当重要的，记得大学的时候，老师说，“翻译就是翻意。”把意思传达到了就可以了，不必刻意去追求每个次的精准。当然，英文翻译同样追求“信、达、雅”，在翻意的基础上尽量提高语言的质量才是所要追求的。
